 CARE Project

The Cultivating Attachment through Relationship Education (CARE) Project is an AAP-funded project that trains pediatricians on early relational health guidance for families. Through training pediatricians and providing materials and toolkits, this project aims to improve parent-child relationships from the beginning.  Learn more.

Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI)

Iowa's Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program works to ensure that all newborns and toddlers with hearing loss are identified as early as possible and provided with timely and appropriate audiological, educational, medical intervention and family support. Learn more.

I-Smile and Cavity Free Iowa

I-Smile is a statewide program that connects pregnant women and children and their families in Iowa with oral health, medical, and community resources to help ensure a lifetime of health and wellness. There are currently 15 I-Smile coordinators serving all 99 counties across Iowa. Learn more.

Iowa Regional Autism Assistance Program (RAP)

Iowa AAP has been working in partnership with the Iowa Regional Autism Assistance Program--or Iowa RAP. The Chapter has developed a social media campaign for RAP, and has been posting and tweeting so that parents and providers around the state can learn about the program and its resources. Learn more.
